Dead End #Flashfiction

Infernal buzzing noise in my head.

shielding my eyes from

the swirling choking,  cloak of dust

powerfully sucking me closer.

This can’t be – must be a dream

Legs in frenzied motion

Mercilessly aiming straight at me

no rock, no place to hide

Today’s terror is not cinematography!

what did I do to …

Alas ~I’ve reached an end ~dead!!!

Initially I was going to tell the reader who the speaker is but I thought it would be fun to see if anyone could guess.

…And to all you Fabulous Friday Fifty Five Flash Fiction  Fanatics Finding Frivolous Fun ( that was a bucal cavity full) check out more at G-Man’s place.

Thank you for visiting Moondustwriter. One of the many exciting things I've had the honor of doing is writing with an E. African team that is developing elementary curriculum for African children. As a writer, it is a thrill to help children (on all continents) who want to learn. I've been part of the blogging community for more than 10 years. Some old timers may remember the award winning (2011 Twitter Shorty ) blog community - One Stop Poetry. I was the co-producer of that fast growing blog community. I am a published writer, poet, artist and photographer. I have written, as well as edited, for periodicals, radio, blogs and fellow writers. There are many facets to this moon - thanks for stopping by.

  2. I was going to say Cary Grant, but I totally cheated by looking at the name of the picture.
It says “orth-by-northwest-hitchcock-cary-grant-pic-2”, so I guessed.

Thanks for doing Friday 55 this week.
    Mine’s here. 🙂

  4. I haven’t watched the movie, but it sure looks like Mr. Grant’s running from a bunch of counterspies…
NOW I see why you made the ‘dead-end’ reference in one of my previous posts, Moonie 🙂 And yet, why I do get the feeling that the scene after this one would be something equally heroic?!? 🙂

Btw, LOVED G-Man’s comment!! hahahaha… a vac that went bust?!?!? sheeeshh!

  5. You live in farm country? REALLY?? Seriously, and truly?

North x Northwest. And Austin has South x Southwest! What a super cooinkidink.

P.S. I recycled your sidebar button, but next time I’ll make you a brandie-new one. But not while drinking brandy, I find that a bit strong. Most likely while sipping moon beer, best on the planet! 🙂
