The Man of Stone #flashfiction

That look  of his takes my breath away

the strong silent type they always say-

“seems to know more. “

Then what’s  in store?

That  man with the gaze

I’ll have to go aways

to hear the words I long to hear

“come close hold me dear”

though a man of stone

I am never alone

Another week of 55ing with the man who is no stone but rather the host from coast to coast. Join us as we ply our trade with a few words.  55 Friday Flash Fiction

Thank you for visiting Moondustwriter. One of the many exciting things I've had the honor of doing is writing and publishing in multiple genres (including education) in E. African for E. Africa. As a writer, it is a thrill to write for children (on all continents) who want to learn. I've been part of the blogging community for more than 13 years. Some old timers may remember the award winning (2011 Twitter Shorty ) blog community - One Stop Poetry. I was the co-producer of that fast growing blog community. I am a published writer, poet, artist and photographer. I have written, as well as edited, for periodicals, radio, blogs and fellow writers. There are many facets to this moon - my joy is in meeting you!

  1. Well… I guess one could always take the stone-man off the pedestal and carry him around waiting for him to speak… but it seems like so much work.

Breathe fire, twirl a rain dance and see if perhaps he comes to life and finds those words that are so necessary for us mere mortals 🙂

  2. MDW….

  3. I’m glad I am not ‘stoned’ as I read this–grin!
Hi, glad to see you, California friend

Is there a way I don’t have to fill out all this information each time when commenting on your blog, Dear?

    If SO
    Let me KNOW.

  4. I love/hate those kind of men who attract like bees to honey but give so much pain at times, seemingly controlling the situation with their “I know women, and I know you and I will destroy u with my virility” kind of attitude. Thanks for reminding me! Keeps the juices flowing…
