From My Porch #poetry #spring #photography

Each spring marks newness and perhaps a time to reflect

Revelation of spring

flits before my eyes

energy of Mr. squirrel’s twitching tail

Cardinal reds and little baby blues

***

hidden treasures of spring

chrysalis almost missed

yellow and red peeking faces

open to the sun

***

springs of the past

spoon used by little hands for digging

 dirt encrusted tonka truck wheel

brown edged florist’s card message

***

Spring’s new offering

inhale – bounty of fresh scents

chase – snow-white fluttering blossoms

catch -“I love yous” floating on a fragrant breeze

Thank you for visiting Moondustwriter. One of the many exciting things I've had the honor of doing is writing and publishing in multiple genres (including education) in E. African for E. Africa. As a writer, it is a thrill to write for children (on all continents) who want to learn. I've been part of the blogging community for more than 13 years. Some old timers may remember the award winning (2011 Twitter Shorty ) blog community - One Stop Poetry. I was the co-producer of that fast growing blog community. I am a published writer, poet, artist and photographer. I have written, as well as edited, for periodicals, radio, blogs and fellow writers. There are many facets to this moon - my joy is in meeting you!

    1. Looks like Seattle — last week we were like your second shot, this week it’s back to runinng in the rain! Great shots! I really like your composition and the focus on the legs! Hope you have a good week, Rune! Enjoy!Sylvia

  1. This is just a beautiful photo. Ha, I just took my dog for a walk through a woodsy area we often walk in during summer. It is STILL snowed over. I ALMOST (should have) took a picture to put somewhere and label…..”This is what spring is like.” I much prefer YOUR view.

    1. GREAT idea (and planning?) on the boottm shot, Rune. The perspective is good on its own, but the red pants and creation of a foreground–that’s special. Well done.
