Jade Green
were her eyes
like a feline’s lies
Fire Red
flames she licked
that poured from her lips
Tawny Brown
was her skin
beckoned with drops of sin
Coal Black
was her heart
mine pierced like a dart
Dandelion Yellow
was my skin
poison crept deep within
Verdant Green
was the spot
upon my name the plot
Jade Green
were her eyes
now she wears widow’s disguise
Thanks to for the photograph at shadowstarden that I altered (a bit) the green eyes were amazing
That is as good as it gets. The rhythm of the words are mesmerizing.

Gorgeous cat’s eyes. Lovely pic. I used to write poetry but somewhat differently.

Both photo and verse, remarkable. Is the past tense… a “Saddening?”

Hi Tash–the shadows are rellay strong within! You definitely manage to elude them and describe the struggle well. I have such issues that I often think of going completely incognito! Maybe will do someday – when you see the blog DailyDManic–you’ll know who it is! K.
