To hold in my hands

gazing between stars and moon

future far too fast

Dare I to gaze

behind or before my gate

trip over what ifs

Ponder the Future is today’s haiku prompt at Carpe Diem. Do we dare look even a little ahead??

Thank you for visiting Moondustwriter. One of the many exciting things I've had the honor of doing is writing and publishing in multiple genres (including education) in E. African for E. Africa. As a writer, it is a thrill to write for children (on all continents) who want to learn. I've been part of the blogging community for more than 13 years. Some old timers may remember the award winning (2011 Twitter Shorty ) blog community - One Stop Poetry. I was the co-producer of that fast growing blog community. I am a published writer, poet, artist and photographer. I have written, as well as edited, for periodicals, radio, blogs and fellow writers. There are many facets to this moon - my joy is in meeting you!

  1. Hi Leslie – good to be over at your blog. 🙂

Ah..lovely photography and such lovely lines to go with it all. The picture with the gate reminded me of our old farmhouse we had long time back…good memories.

Thanks for sharing. Have a nice day ahead 🙂

  2. For me it was the idea of presenting cotrnasts. The news media by its nature is inflammatory, specific and to the point, almost brutal in it’s approach. The very opposite of what being peaceful means. The photo is self explanatory of course. The idea conveyed in the haiku was the very real awareness that each human has about the desire for personal peace as we go about living in a world that is anything but peaceful! A duality of sorts.
