A New Day #haiku #photography

a new day beckons

releasing rays into my room

to see the first smile

dawn’s lusty colors

 above the Sierra Madre

dance of the veils

Kristjaan at Chevrefeuille has inspired the haiku pf the day as it begins

Thank you for visiting Moondustwriter. One of the many exciting things I've had the honor of doing is writing with an E. African team that is developing elementary curriculum for African children. As a writer, it is a thrill to help children (on all continents) who want to learn. I've been part of the blogging community for more than 10 years. Some old timers may remember the award winning (2011 Twitter Shorty ) blog community - One Stop Poetry. I was the co-producer of that fast growing blog community. I am a published writer, poet, artist and photographer. I have written, as well as edited, for periodicals, radio, blogs and fellow writers. There are many facets to this moon - thanks for stopping by.

  1. That second haiku is a masterpiece Leslie

    “dawn’s lusty colors
    above the Sierra Madre
    dance of the veils”

Really a nice one ‘lusty colors’ ‘dance of the veils’ wow … I am speechless …

    1. An entertaining rnidaeg, indeed. The one-time book marketer in me greatly admired your blend of sampling (from the new book), preview (an entertaining passage from your next bestseller), and brand establishment (displaying the wit, insight, theatricality, command of language, and generally irresistable charm of Joel Derfner, an author who would be FABULOUS with Oprah.) As for punishing the Significant Other, I’ll shake my grey locks and give you a word of warning from my own 14 years of experience: no matter what you do, he’ll know you don’t really mean it. This is one of the lesser-known (if more helpful) ways in which love makes us all blind.
