Poems with the kigo Matsuyoi often refer to a certain longing especially in love poems
awaiting her smile
trance-like in autumn’s haze
moon casts orange glow
***
moon casts orange glow
golden love warmth through the night
candle light flickers
Carpe Diem’s prompt is Matsuyoi (waiting evening and the autumn moon is well worth waiting for)
Lovely… and just the right bit of haunting.

he made it all the way through WW2 and didn’t get a taotto. I almost got a small kidney this year, but figure I’ll opt for a kidney charm instead. Like them but don’t want another enough to go through with it.
