Calling All Saints
whether young or old
in the dust
or fighting the cold
raise your voices to the One
who fuels our spirit
above Him none
lay down your swords
you who have led the fight
to honor’s charge
you have shone the light
see the candles
watch them glow
timeless they flicker
for life we will know
As we celebrate All Saints Day, we think of those who have faithfully gone before us. Who would we be had they not taken the time to show us a piece of our Lord? Their paths were not straight, life was often tough, and yet through those times they learned to persevere. May we remember as days grow long, cold and harsh – to Look Up!
“Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen you heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord!”
Psalms 27:14
“My voice you shall hear in the morning, O Lord; In the morning, I will direct it to You, And I will look up.”
Psalms 5:3
We owe so much to the great cloud of witnesses who have gone before us paving the highway of faith. Thanks for this offering.
