A New Path #Newyear #journey #poetry

Awaken to a dawning day

over that hill lambs frolic and play

it does not promise absence of stones

there will be those times

you will feel all alone

while at another widening turn

as you boldly trudge

you honestly learn

to make your way into the light

suffer not of darkness’ fright

for where you go

persist to be

nearer warmth of heart of shackles free

walking stick

one foot forward

walking stick my companion

hike into New Year

New Year’s gift of tea–
where did you go
on your journey back to me?

~Issa

“There are far, far better things ahead than any we leave behind.”
C.S. Lewis

“Faithless is he that says farewell when the road darkens.”
J.R.R. Tolkien, The Fellowship of the Ring

God has never promised to solve our problems. He has not promised to answer our questions… He has promised to go with us.
~Elisabeth Elliot

The path of the righteous is like the morning sun, shining ever brighter till the full light of day.

Thank you for visiting Moondustwriter. One of the many exciting things I've had the honor of doing is writing with an E. African team that is developing elementary curriculum for African children. As a writer, it is a thrill to help children (on all continents) who want to learn. I've been part of the blogging community for more than 10 years. Some old timers may remember the award winning (2011 Twitter Shorty ) blog community - One Stop Poetry. I was the co-producer of that fast growing blog community. I am a published writer, poet, artist and photographer. I have written, as well as edited, for periodicals, radio, blogs and fellow writers. There are many facets to this moon - thanks for stopping by.

  1. Dear Leslie,
Your Happy New Year message is the best I have read so far, so thank you and I hope and pray, that, “You’ll be nearer warmth of heart shackles free”, I loved these lines of yours so I borrowed them from you to write my reply to you.
Have a very, Happy New Year!
