Looking up beneath rock bottom
vessel broken on shoals and sand
Lord, I’m filled with desperation
appealing with empty hands
from here I see a wasteland
hope seems miles away
I call out to you, my maker
the darkest night turns bright like day
Looking up beneath the bottom
no place else to go
He draws faithful upward
my heart drawn up from oh so low
There seems to be times when we hit rock bottom in our lives. There can be one thousand different causes but that empty lost feeling can be all consuming.
If you are laying on your back looking up for something to lighten the situation, DO NOT LOSE HEART!
If you have a friend or a loved one in that situation, your loving smile is so reassuring.
“Every man has his secret sorrows
which the world knows not;
and often times we call
a man cold when he is only sad.”
“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for thou art with me; Thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me.”
Psalm 23:4
“The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.”
Psalm 34:18
“He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”
Revelation 21:4
