Have you ever jumped on the bare back of a horse? You have to hang on with your legs as the two of you escape the world’s gravity and ride in the breeze of freedom. Sorrowfully you must resign yourself to the dismount and returning to regular mundane terra.

First of all good morning and can I say yours is a wonderful Haiku. I never dream of riding a horse. I’m too scared. Thank you Leslie. 🙂

Long ago, I used to go out to the pasture when I was restless and couldn’t sleep. We had an old, white pony who would nuzzle me for treats, then let me climb aboard to watch the stars as she drifted through the dark night like a ghost.

Moonie,
__As I see it, we (I) are (am) not controlled by technology, or by that attempt of technology’s ‘autocratic government’ to control our (my) life’s clock; all mind-time is not within its control.
__That bare back ride, a walk in the forest or talking with a bird, listening to a bud opening or a leaf falling, or watching the bees being creative. There are so many available sensual communications with Nature, that they become Nature’s real life gifts to our hearts, and to our mind’s imaginations. To never under estimate the value of tecnoloogy, that equipment becomes our pen, our… TOOL… to say to ourselves, what we really are.
__Your words Moonie, “breeze of freedom.”

Love that photo and all you’ve conveyed. My favorite kid thing was jumping on my horse, bare backed, bare legged, and plunging into the lake with him. No cooler feeling than a horse swimming beneath you!

I tried horseback riding once, but it was not a good experience. The horse got spooked and took off at full speed. Scary! Beautiful animals, but I’ll stick to viewing them from afar. The Haiku was lovely.

I’ve sat on a horse bareback, but I certainly didn’t jump there, and it didn’t feel stable enough to ride. Most of my riding has been somebody prepping it all, me sitting on the horse and then following some leader… I like it, but I am certainly no expert. I like your haiku!

Synergy is possible everywhere. It’s wonderful when one artist can play off another and create even more beauty.
