moderators, old timers, just starting out
sharing one common thing
the month of April
in some places Spring
writers, poets, students, experts, bloggers
laugh, compose, take pictures, sigh
community for a month
until 2023 it’s goodbye
but wait hold that thought
learned, grew, took awhile
misplaced your pen
found your smile
Each year without fail I meet some amazing people and their writing / blogging is awesome too!
This 2022 is not exception because it is A to Z.

empty now
I found this one day when I was operating the elevator in the Smithsonian. I wanted to explore but I had to let my camera do what I could not.
Thanks City Sonnet for the month long challenge. Today’s prompt “narrow”

lovely Uganda
I marvel at the beauty of Uganda. Her people are also very industrious. The cars (top picture) are used for meeting places out of the sun. Children also get out of the heat and pretend they are driving even when the cars are stacked on top of each other – think of the view.
Thank you Cee Neuner for a community where photographers share beauty and life… This week’s prompt is cream or white colour.

We never know when disaster will strike. My dear friend was hit by lightening several days before and survived. Sadness mingles with gratitude.

Who has measured the waters in the hollow of His hand,
And marked off the heavens by the span,
And calculated the dust of the earth by the measure,
And weighed the mountains in a balance
And the hills in a pair of scales?

You may be swaying over all the events in our nation and our world.
You should be.
Jesus in the Bible talked alot about the poor, the widows, the mistreated. We should in any season be offering help to another in need. That is not based on our abundance; it is based on the need to give and care in any season of our lives.
Matthew 25:36-37 says: “For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.”
Giving away freedom does not help anyone. If you want to know what it’s like to forfeit your freedom, move to a communist country. You will have no freedom to walk on a sidewalk in the evening with your significant other, give a piece of bread to a starving child. or sing a song (of your choosing.)
friction’s burning
heat scorching all the land
painful scars
broken by cold world's storm tears fragile promise fragrant offering called hope
Are you finding yourself alone in this mixed up world of CoVid 19? Worries swirl about your head for yourself, family, the world.
“This is my comfort in my affliction, For your word has given me life.”
~Psalm 119:50
Hang on to the two words Comfort and Affliction that form a parenthesis around the word and very presence of affliction. Trials and afflictions (doubts and pains) may not be nullified, but they are cushioned by the faithful Word of God.
Please take heart today. He is always there.
Inspired by a fellow blogger’s post: a prayer and a flower.
Learning to live by the indwelling life of Christ.
Looking ahead, without looking back (too often)

Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there, wondering, fearing, doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before. - Edgar Allan Poe
