He Loves Me He Loves Me NOT #valentines day

Like a girl I pull a petal

eagerly waiting the answer

“He loves me

He loves me not

He…”

I pulled the petals

from the flower of love

What did they say?

He loves me…

My eyes through their window you could see

Lips that sang under yours

Calderon of desire

He loves me not…

A trick of the petals I see

but they will not get the better of me

He…

Who was given the petal?

I would like to know!

It cannot last

Why does one petal make the difference?

Passion in the night

Empty embrace is in the dawn – indifference

He loves me…

He

loves

me

NOT

Fair thee well petal

I shall find new discovery in

the fragrant petal of

He

Loves

Me

Bucket of Tears

Please join us at One Shot Poetry on Wednesdays. Today is just the beginning for poets to come together and support each other. Have fun!!!!!

Her tears were suspended

mid air

no more room

in the bucket

to hold them

*

Drowning

in the fog of forgotten

dismay etched on each corner

life wrought with agony

*

*

“How could he?”

She moaned

more tears poured forth

“speak words of  love

promise forever

depart with my heart”

*

*

“I will never

find the spigot

the shutoff

to sorrow

*

*“How could he?”

“Why would he?’

Final Goodbye

It never hit ’til you closed the door

didn’t turn back – no tempting smile

sauntered alone into gray

now you’re gone everything’s wrong

why wouldn’t you stay?

***

What about you will I miss?

cheeky grin, witty words

intelligence , talks late in the night

those lengthy kisses in your arms

***

why this empty vacuous silence?

love barren – irretrievable

were you tired of  us

savoring  memories?

***

thoughts of no more he/ no more me

how did the end begin?

little does he know

he has taken me with him
