Needing You More than Yesterday #poetry #photography

solstice

I just got off the plane

heartsick still feels the same

needing you more than yesterday

my sleeve is wet with rain

concealing well my pain

I’m needing you more than yesterday

grasping for reasons why

raising questions to the afternoon sky

and I’m needing you more than yesterday

already tried running away

your smile beckoned me to stay

I’ll always need you more than yesterday

Fated Love #poetry #loss #photography

What can lovers separated by space and time do?

“It will never be
just you and me;
always an obstacle in our way.
How can you ask me to stay
lovingly in your arms
at the same time
devoured by loneliness? “

“You love me that is true
but there is nothing
 you nor I can do
nothing
ever to fuse
the chasmed distance
to be together!”

 A tear trickles
down a cheek
forming the letter N for NEVER
clearly outlined
as tho a finger
drew her fate in the sand
If you get a chance, read The Chasm a variation of the same theme.

Just For You… #poetry #napomo

When we cant be close to loved ones we are invisibly joined by the bond of love

Though you wont know

these words are penned

typed rather slow

with thoughts of you

Im on the moon

you ~ terra’s ground

looking down

with thoughts of you

working school or sick

wish I could pick

a tea cozy spot

with thoughts of you

can never replace

the warm embrace

since you were young

with thoughts of you

hold on tight

from the monsters of the night

I can’t be there

but I have always

thoughts of you

In the Echo (Flash Fiction 55)

She listened for his voice.

He called, “Where are you?”

The echo seemed to assault

“W_H_E_R_E    A_R_E     Y_O_U?”

“I’m here,”she called back

“I can’t seeee you,” his words echoed desirous

“I’m here…

closer than your next breath”

longing echo whispered in his ear

he could almost feel her

in the echo.

Thanks to G-Man aka Mr Know it All for hosting a great flash fiction each week. We always have fun trying to create a story in 55 words. Come along with us and try your hand.

Silence (One Shot Wednesday) #poetry

The space between our words

almost as piteous

as the distance between

our hearts

***

Unbearable silence

when you abandon me

I am left enslaved

on a thought

for days

***

To measure loneliness

by absence

of sound

expounds emptiness

***

my heart is trapped

in this vacuum

silence

will  be

my ruin

Each week One Stop Poetry aspires to join poets together to express and inspire. One Shot Wednesday is an open community for those who  love to write poetry.

Never Together

Will it never be that you and I can be together

can life be so cruel that distance will always prevail

I love you from afar my dear

look for you every night

listen for you everyday

If it must be our curse to apart forever be

let me do this one thing

I will reflect your grandeur

to all mankind

the tears they will not see

but you will know

my love for you is in every evening glow

I Cant Bear This…

I can’t she cried

sobbing in his shoulder

the pain is too great to bear

How can I leave

one who is like a ray

of sunshine in my life

inspires me to breathe

but I must

It’s the way it has to be

between you and me

lovers from afar

never passing closer than

the earth and a shooting star

Thanks to Navicore for the Leonid Photo

The Chasm

I woke up one morning

I’d dreamt of you

What I saw in my dream

I wouldn’t go through

*

Your arms wide open

eyes so blue

I was caught up

you -enjoying the view

*

I looked down

couldn’t believe

The space between us

a vast ravine

*

You smiled

look that I know

Why- The space?

had always been so

*

In the dream I remembered

The sadness ~ The space

never  together

no time- no place

Faith & Entropy
