Grace

a word broad and wide

grasp at undeserved beauty

little girl revived

A week ago a Sudanese refugee girl was in a coma – no answers. it just happened. A week later she was awake. Here name – Grace.

Grace is “unmerited: mercy, kindness, and patience” like the free gift given by Jesus.

Safe in Grace #devotion

pink lily

encompassed in sweet fragrance

held together by His grace

bold sunshine rises golden

each day you warm my face

I fear the passing days

you assure me with your love

so little within my grasp

all I have comes from God above

Do you have those days where you turn a corner and you lose your resolve? Is it hard some days to get out of bed and face trials, pain, recent loss? We are held together so lovingly tho at times it seems just a breath that suspends us and keeps us from falling into a pit of despair.

2 Corinthians 12:8-9 Three times I pleaded with the Lord about this, that it should leave me. But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

Hebrews 4:16 Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Grace in Haiku

“It’s my pleasure to bring a new episode of Haiku Shuukan. Several weeks ago, we started with Joan Halifax’s G.R.A.C.E and this week it’s about the “A” in G.R.A.C.E. The “A” stands for Attaining to Self Other. ”

Linked to Carpe Diem Haiku Shuukan:
Attaining to Self-Other:

“Sense without judgment. This is an active process of inquiry, first involving yourself, then the other person. Open a space in which the encounter can unfold, in which you are present for whatever may arise, in yourself and in the other person.”

What to do with this idea in a haiku? I don’t really know, but I have to give it a try:

Words of Grace #Easter #poetry

Easter Lily

He whispered words of grace

balm against my anguished soul

massaging the world’s pointed pain

He touched with words of grace

sweet myrrh filled emptiness

healing my life-long scars

He planed with words of grace

sanding away cancerous decay

the shaving sno part of me

He walked away from grace

nails driven into eternity

sin abolished in sacrifice

 HE lives words of grace

joyous love fills the soul

barren no more

Wishing each of you a Happy Easter.

May your burdens be lifted
